The Acoustic Labs Multitrack Recorder is an easy-to-use eight track digital audio recorder, editor and mixer allowing users to create professional quality audio productions. Each of the tracks are kept independent so that various editing operations can be performed on one track without affecting any of the other tracks. The Acoustic Labs Multitrack Recorder plays audio back and records audio at CD quality (44.1 KHz, 16 Bit, Stereo). During playback, all of the tracks play mixed together as one sound. When recording new tracks all existing tracks playback simultaneously so that you can record in perfect time with the existing audio. History of the Acoustic Labs Multitrack Recorder
The original version of the Acoustic Labs Multitrack Recorder, originally known as the Acoustic Labs Mixer, was designed and created in 2001. We happen to be audio enthusiasts and amateur musicians and recording artists and always felt as though there was a lack of an easy-to-use, straightforward and intuitive multitrack recorder available on the software market. We had spent plenty of time using some of the "best" products on the market and often found them to be more difficult than necessary. Even with degrees in computer science and math and much experience in computer based audio recording, we were often perplexed with features that some packages offered which only seemed to hinder and complicate the recording and editing process. This gave way to the original creation of the Acoustic Labs Mixer which was later more appropriately renamed to the Acoustic Labs Multitrack Recorder.
In addition to making the user interface as intuitive as possible the Multitrack Recorder was also modeled in the tradition of the widely used stand alone multitrack recordering units that were very popular throughout the 1980's and 1990's and are still in use today. Since its original release, we've received countless emails from satisfied users who are happy that an audio software company has finally made a straightforward multitrack recorder, editor and mixer.
